Job Description

We are seeking a Registrations Administrator to join our team on a part time basis, working 25.5 hours per week.

The main responsibilities of the post holder will be to register patients accurately following detailed guidance and protocols.

Input data from registration booklets, update record sharing and SCR preferences, action the incoming Total Triage requests.

This is a varied role, and it is important to prioritise the registrations team's workload daily.

Main duties of the job
  • Process new patient registrations and maintain accurate patient records on the clinical system.
  • Contact patients when required to obtain or verify registration and demographic information.
  • Manage registration queries, shared inboxes, electronic registrations, and patient correspondence.
  • Monitor and action administrative requests, tasks, recalls, and workflow items in line with practice protocols.
  • Process, code, index, and file incoming clinical correspondence, pathology results, and electronic communications.
  • Maintain patient records, including contact details, screening outcomes, immunisations, care plans, and palliative care registers.
  • Support appointment booking, NHS Health Checks, screening programmes, and follow-up activities.
  • Manage patient record transfers, deceased patient administration, and associated liaison with external organisations.
  • Support colleagues through training, mentoring, inductions, cross-team working, and meeting participation.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection, quality standards, and agreed productivity standards.
