Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Surgeon seeking a fulfilling career opportunity? Sanctuary Personnel is excited to present a fantastic permanent Registered Veterinary Surgeon position with one of the UK's largest veterinary retailers based in Ayesford/Maidstone.

Summary:

You will be joining a team that consists of 3 Vets, 2 Nurses, SVN, VCA and 4 Receptionists. Our practice can offer you the environment, caseload and equipment needed to utilise your skills whilst also giving you plenty of opportunity to develop further, with support for postgraduate qualifications, CPD and training in your areas of interest.

This is a part time role (30 hours a week) over 3 days - Monday, Wednesday and Friday plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am - 12pm). There is occasional sole charge and no OOHs responsibility.

Responsibilities

Join a team of veterinary staff in a busy practice. Work a part time schedule of 30 hours per week over three days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am-12pm). There is occasional sole charge and no out of hours (OOH) responsibilities. This role offers opportunities to utilise clinical skills and develop further with support for postgraduate qualifications, CPD and training in areas of interest.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university
  • Membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
  • Previous experience as a veterinary surgeon is highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary best practices and medical regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets
  • Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and effectively
  • Willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine
