Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Inshes Veterinary Centre on a full-time basis.

We are a busy first opinion small animal practice located in the Highlands. Our team consists of 7 full time and 2 part time vets, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, and a Veterinary Care Assistant, supported by a comprehensive administrative team. We work various shift patterns to ensure a balanced workload.

Based in Inverness, we are ideally situated for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. The practice is within easy commuting distance to the Cairngorm National Park, northern Scotland, and the Outer Hebrides, offering a fantastic lifestyle in the Highlands.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You'll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours across 5 days, Monday to Friday.

General responsibilities include:
  • In patient care
  • Assisting in theatre, dental, and diagnostic procedures
  • Anaesthetic monitoring and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Nurse consultations
  • Assisting with laparoscopic procedures and lab work
  • Supporting student veterinary nurses through their training
