Job Description
Flexibility, support and wellbeing are important to us if you feel the same way, we could be the practice for you here at Heanor Vets for Pets!

Vet and Practice Owner, Ann O'Neill, and her team have created something special - a general practice with a great and varied client base that really cares about colleagues, clients and pets. And we now have an opening for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us on a part-time basis, although we can consider full-time hours and a work pattern to suit you.

Having been open for 5 years, our caseload is established, and we are very client focussed having built great relationships with them. We're now looking to grow our offering with the development of more clinics within the practice and are looking for someone who would like to expand into this area with us.

Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. Continuing your learning is just as important to us as it is to you, and we offer a great CPD allowance to our Nurses. Consulting bias would be advantageous but not a necessity, and you will be needed as a sole nurse for clinic and surgery for at least 1 day a week, giving you plenty of variety in your role.

You'll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. Our practice provides great facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients.

The role includes 1 in 2 Saturdays (9am-12pm). No Sundays or OOHs! The rota and hours can be discussed at interview to make sure we have the right balance for you and the practice. We ensure you have a diary that is well managed to give you a smooth day - ensuring you have plenty of breaks, admin time and finish your day on time.

In addition to a competitive salary (DOE, FTE) we offer all the benefits you'd expect from a major employer (pension, paid memberships etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 20% off at Pets at Home).

In return we're looking for an RVN who has excellent customer service and communication skills, and a good experience of veterinary nursing with a genuine interest in animal welfare, enjoying the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.

So, if you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
