Overview

Job Title: Registered Manager

Location: Oldham, OL2

Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 per annum

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full-time

Employment Type: Permanent

Bonus Structure
  • £3,000 bonus for achieving a Good Ofsted inspection
  • £5,000 bonus for achieving an Outstanding Ofsted inspection
  • Length of service bonus of £1,250 for every completed 12 months of service
Potential Earnings

A Registered Manager earning the top salary of £55,000, achieving an Outstanding Ofsted rating (£5,000 bonus), and completing one full year of service (£1,250 service bonus) could earn up to £61,250 per year before tax.

This is an opportunity to register and lead a brand-new solo children's home, offering a focused and manageable service compared with larger multi-bed homes.

Key Details
  • Service: Children's Home
  • Service Users: Solo placement supporting a young person with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Qualifications Required: Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards / willing to enrol)
  • Experience Required: Previous experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home and experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • The Home: Number of beds: Solo placement
  • Staffing Structure: Registered Manager supported by a residential staff team and operational oversight from an experienced Responsible Individual
Who We Are Looking For
  • Our client is seeking a committed and capable leader to register and manage a new solo children's home in Oldham. The successful candidate will be values-led, organised, and confident in managing safeguarding, staff development, and regulatory compliance within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home.
  • You will be responsible for registering the home with Ofsted, building a stable and capable staff team, and embedding strong safeguarding and quality standards from the outset.
  • You will play a key role in establishing the culture, routines, and quality standards of the service, ensuring the young person receives consistent, therapeutic, and structured care.
Role Fit
  • Who this role would suit: This role may suit an established Registered Manager who is looking to move into a smaller solo provision and step away from the pressures of managing large multi-bed homes, while still maintaining full leadership and autonomy over a service.
  • It may also suit an experienced Deputy Manager who is ready to step into their first Registered Manager position and lead their own home, with support from an experienced Responsible Individual and operational leadership team.
