Salary: £46,000 per annum (potential to earn up to £51,400 via Ofsted & Occupancy bonuses)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Full-time, Permanent

This is a small, nurturing home designed to offer stability, safety, and emotional development for young people with EBD and trauma related needs. The focus is on fostering meaningful relationships to support young people as they transition into adulthood.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to lead the Barnsley home. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference in young people's lives, can lead and inspire a team, and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with legislation and Ofsted standards.
Essential Requirements- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards it)
- Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare
- Previous experience managing or supervising staff within an Ofsted registered children's home
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted frameworks (SCIFF)
- Proven leadership, team management, and people development skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

- Overall management of the home, ensuring high quality care and safeguarding
- Lead, develop, and supervise the team, including staff inductions, appraisals, and CPD
- Maintain compliance with all legislation, regulations, and policies
- Oversee admissions, discharges, care planning, and quality assurance
- Chair and participate in meetings with professionals, commissioners, and Ofsted
- Manage budgets, resources, and on call responsibilities where required
- 25 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays
- On call payments: £25 (weekdays), £35 (weekends)
- £3,000 bonus for outstanding Ofsted report
- Full occupancy bonus: £200 per month
- Petrol allowance (business insurance required)
