Registered Manager - Children's Residential Services (2-bed) Saddleworth, Oldham (OL3)

This is an opportunity to lead a new 2-bed children's home in Saddleworth, backed by an experienced RI with 16 years in children's residential care, who has progressed from Residential Support Worker to senior operational leadership within one of the UK's most highly regarded national providers, supporting homes to achieve and sustain Good and Outstanding outcomes.

Salary: £48,000 to £52,000 plus Ofsted bonus
Hours: 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties

The home

A new 2-bed provision with a strong focus on consistency, structure, and therapeutic practice. Staffing will typically operate at 2:1, or in line with assessed need.

Who this role suits

This role will suit either:
A Deputy Manager ready to step up with structured support and guidance from the RI and leadership team.
A confident Registered Manager who wants to put their own stamp on a home, with the freedom to build a stable, values-led culture from day one, and the opportunity to dual register in Autumn 2026.

What we are looking for

A passionate, knowledgeable, and values-driven leader who puts children at the centre of every decision, and who:

  • Has senior experience within children's residential care
  • Understands the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and SCCIF
  • Leads with integrity, calmness, and a consistent approach
  • Builds and develops high-performing teams through coaching and supportive leadership
  • Values structure, boundaries, and therapeutic approaches
  • Thrives in an environment where autonomy and creativity are encouraged
Essential requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within an Ofsted-registered children's home
  • Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare
Desirable
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards this (with support provided)
