Regional Senior Carer - Deputy Manager

Overview

A local premier care organisation is now looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join them as a Peripatetic Deputy Manager, helping to ensure residents get the support they need across several care homes near Eastbourne.

You will have a greater level of variety in your day-to-day as you provide more advanced care (such as medication and assessments), guide more junior team members to advance their skills.

Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you can expect to help with everything from ensuring care standards to motivating your team. You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. You won't be limited to just one home but will move across a select number of local care homes for extra flexibility.

This is a permanent, full time role (40h per week).

Responsibilities

• Provide more advanced care (such as medication and assessments).
• Guide and develop junior team members to advance their skills.
• Work closely with the General Manager and take on leadership duties in their absence.
• Help with care standards and motivate the team.
• Inspire a multidisciplinary team to support each resident to achieve the best possible quality of life.
• Move across a select number of local care homes for flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience working within care homes at a Senior level
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Proven track record of managing safeguarding investigations & clinical risk assessment
• Driving license and access to own vehicle
