Regional Property Claims Assessor
Posted 3 hours 56 minutes ago by Parker Franklyn
A growing property claims business is looking to appoint a Regional Property Claims Surveyor to support continued expansion across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in property claims, building surveying, construction, reinstatement, loss adjusting or insurance-related property work who wants a role with autonomy, variety and genuine long-term opportunity.
You'll be responsible for attending property claims, assessing damage, scoping works, preparing reports and working closely with customers, insurers, contractors and internal claims teams to help move claims forward efficiently and fairly.
This is not a desk-bound role. You'll be out meeting customers, inspecting damage, reviewing repair requirements and helping to bring structure and clarity to property claims - the proper old-fashioned bit where people actually need someone competent in front of them, not just another email chain.
The Role- Attend domestic and/or commercial property claims across Edinburgh and the wider region
- Survey damaged properties and assess the extent and cause of damage
- Prepare clear reports, scopes of work and repair recommendations
- Estimate repair costs and review contractor quotations
- Liaise with policyholders, insurers, contractors, loss adjusters and internal claims teams
- Help ensure claims are progressed efficiently, accurately and with good customer communication
- Manage your own regional caseload and diary
- Support a growing business as it continues to build its regional presence
We'd be interested in speaking with candidates from a range of relevant backgrounds, including:
- Property claims surveying
- Building surveying
- Loss adjusting
- Property insurance claims
You don't need to come from one exact background, but you will need a strong understanding of buildings, repair works and the property claims process.
You'll Probably Be a Good Fit If You Have- Experience assessing property damage and repair requirements
- Strong knowledge of building construction and reinstatement works
- The ability to scope works and produce clear, practical reports
- Good communication skills with customers, insurers and contractors
- A confident, organised and self-managed approach
- Commercial awareness and the ability to make sensible decisions
- A full UK driving licence
This is a chance to join a business at a genuinely exciting stage of growth. The role offers autonomy, regional ownership and the opportunity to become a key part of the company's Scottish operation as it continues to expand.
For someone who enjoys property claims, surveying and getting out on site rather than being stuck behind a screen all week, this could be a very good move. Company Car provided.
