Cork County Council is seeking a Regional Enterprise Plan Programme Manager who will co-ordinate and manage the implementation of the Regional Enterprise Plan in the South-West Region. The South-West Regional Enterprise Plan covers the city of Cork and the counties of Cork and Kerry. The appointee will report directly to the Director of Service for Economic Development & Strategic Planning and will have an employment base at County Hall Cork.
The Regional Enterprise Plan is developed by regional stakeholders and focuses on undertaking collaborative initiatives that can help deliver enterprise growth in the region. The plan contributes to the Programme for Government commitment to achieving more balanced regional development.
An opportunity now exists in Cork County Council for the position of Regional Enterprise Plan Programme Manager (South-West Region).
While reporting to the Director of Service, Economic Development & Strategic Planning the postholder will progress the South-West Regional Enterprise Plan under the general direction of the Chair of the Steering Committee. Progression of the South-West Regional Enterprise Plan (REP) will reflect the priorities of the Steering Committee and its Chair.
The REP Programme Manager will be expected to engage at senior level with relevant stakeholders including, among others, DETE, Local Authorities, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, HEIs, ETBs, tourism agencies, industry leaders, Chambers of Commerce and the broader business community in the implementation of the Regional Enterprise Plan. The REP Programme Manager will work closely with the Regional Skills Forum Manager to ensure an integrated approach to skills development supporting job creation in the region.
