The Team

The role sits within the Retail Sales team and reports to the Head of Retail Sales. The Regional Director North has responsibility for leading the Northern division, overseeing a team based in the London office and in the field across the North East, North West, West Midlands and Scotland.

The division is structured across four regions, with 11 individuals operating across the geography. The role carries direct accountability for delivering new business generation across all four regions, with responsibility for driving performance across the full Triple Point Retail Product Suite, including Inheritance Tax services, Venture Capital Trusts and Income Service products.

The role is open to candidates based in London or in the regions, with regular travel to the London office and across the regions required.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, motivate and develop a high performing team of Business Development professionals. The Regional Director is accountable for driving strong commercial outcomes through clear leadership, disciplined performance management and consistent coaching. They will create a high energy, results driven culture while ensuring the team operates fully within Triple Point's compliance framework and best practice standards. This role plays a critical part in building capability, raising standards and delivering sustainable growth for the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Northern Division Business Development team, supporting 11 team members to grow Assets Under Management across the region.
  • Set clear performance expectations and directly influence the Business Development Managers within the division to deliver agreed targets and outcomes.
  • As a member of the Retail Sales leadership team you will guide and shape the wider sales function, contributing to strategic thinking, sales training, career development, sales messaging, marketing activity and recruitment.
  • Identify skills gaps and training needs across the team, leading structured training programmes and ensuring every individual has a clear, actionable development plan.
  • Review and assess meetings and calls to identify coaching, capability and compliance requirements, working closely with individuals and team leaders to drive measurable improvement.
  • Act as a role model, mentor and trusted sounding board for Business Development Managers within the division.
  • Work closely with the Head of Retail Sales to ensure consistent standards, behaviours and best practice across the wider Retail Sales function.
  • Co facilitate quarterly and annual performance reviews alongside senior management, providing clear feedback and development direction to direct reports.
  • Attend client and intermediary meetings where senior representation is required, demonstrating strong product knowledge and commercial credibility, despite not holding direct relationships.
  • Partner with the Strategic Partnerships team to increase Northern exposure within key accounts and support the development of those relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement across products, operations, training and marketing by identifying feedback, proposing solutions and leading change with relevant stakeholders.
Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Knowledge of adviser distribution channels with proven experience managing relationships with advisers at some point in your career so far
  • Proven experience managing a team of individuals
  • A natural leader with the ability to motivate and challenge individuals, combined with a clear drive to grow Assets Under Management and position Triple Point as a leading provider within its market.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market insights and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to create clear, compliant product messaging.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using data to support decision making.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders across teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience in tax efficient investment market (Business Relief/VCT)
