Esland are embarking on an exciting period of growth and are therefore looking for a passionate Regional Manager to join us on this journey. You will be responsible for our Children's Assessments Homes based in Burton-Upon-Trent, Buxton, Shifnal (Shropshire), Northwich and Lutterworth (travel between these locations will be required).
Our assessment homes offer a lifeline to young people who are in crisis. They provide local authorities with immediate intervention and offer short-term, urgent care, accommodating for both emergency and non-emergency admissions.
Over a 12 week period, our young people are offered security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment.
Every placement provides excellent levels of residential support, access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme (each home has an AALA licence).
Our child centred, tailored and therapeutic assessment model helps us determine what support a young person needs and defines their next steps.
Key Responsibilities
Management of the Registered Managers within your region, acting as the Responsible Individual for these homes
Creating and maintaining quality services and effective placements
Ensuring that staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of the home and that rotas are upheld
Managing referrals in conjunction with the Registered Managers and Business Development Team
Managing budgets - including staffing and maintenance resources
Ensuring that staff are recruited and trained according to company policy and relevant legalisation
Ensuring that the homes have the correct resources and environment in which children can develop
Ensuring that all Esland policies and procedures are implemented and are followed at all times
Ensuring that all young people experience a placement experience that is personalised to their particular needs, identified through a robust assessment system and placement matching
Keeping effective records, monitoring progress and taking appropriate action to ensure service delivery
Conducting staff evaluation & regular supervisions with Registered Managers
Liaising with external support agencies
Developing a Regional Development Plan and individual Personal Development Plans for all managers and ensuring their implementation
To ensure that the safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made
To support the home managers within your region and ensuring that the homes are running in a cost effective and quality way, delivering excellent outcomes, care experience and customer satisfaction
What we are looking for from you:
Direct knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and expectations
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to all tasks
A minimum of 2 years experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children (within the last 5 years)
Experience of leading, supervising and developing Registered Managers
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young Peoples Services (or an accepted equivalent)
A full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, (Monday to Friday), however you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business and take part in the on call rota as part of your role

Salary between £62,000 to £65,000 plus £4,800 car allowance per annum
