Job Description

TheFireBrigadesUnion(FBU) isthevoiceoffirefightersintheUK,representinguniformedfront line emergency staff of the fire and rescue services. We are the only recognised trade union negotiating nationally for firefighters and emergency fire control staff.

A key team player in the regional team, this is a busy and demanding role which requires excellent communication, organisation, prioritising and multi-tasking skills. Predominantly a role focused on general administration and administrative support, office and facilities management, and Health & Safety duties required for the running of the Regional office. The role will also provide administrative and secretarial support for officials based out of the London regional office.

Able to work flexibly, the jobholder will be proficient at working with computerised systems, traditional office systems and numbers, have an excellent eye for detail, as well as being exceptionally methodical, organised, and flexible in their outlook to work. They will have the determination and patience to complete tasks accurately and will understand the importance of meeting deadlines. While the main focus of this role is administrative support to our London Regional officials, at any given time, the job holder may be required to work within other areas of theAdministration team's work, including to provide cover during the absence of other team members.
