About Haringey

Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work - the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We'll be celebrating all this and more as the "rebel borough" when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey's people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the role

Tottenham Hale is undergoing a major period of transformation, with recent milestones already reshaping the area and further change planned from 2026 onwards. With the London Borough of Culture 2027 on the horizon and an expanding calendar of international sport and music events at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - including the Euros in 2028 - this is a pivotal moment to help establish Tottenham as a vibrant and celebrated destination. The Regeneration Officer will play a key role in supporting the council's placemaking vision, contributing to the delivery of Shaping Tottenham and Shaping Wood Green. The role will help drive a diverse pipeline of projects that champion inclusive growth, community development, town centre renewal and cultural activity, spanning public realm improvements, green spaces, meanwhile uses and community-led initiatives.

Working closely with the Regeneration Manager and Regeneration Lead, the post holder will support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects from early concept through to implementation. This includes assisting with programme management, stakeholder engagement and funding processes, while collaborating with internal teams, consultants, delivery partners and local communities to ensure projects align with strategic priorities and deliver high quality outcomes. The role also involves providing day to day project support, preparing reports and briefings for senior officers and members, monitoring budgets and timelines, and helping to ensure regeneration activity delivers meaningful social, economic and environmental benefits for residents across the borough.

About the team

You'll be joining Haringey's Placemaking team, working directly with a Regeneration Manager and contributing to a wide range of projects alongside colleagues and external partners. Based in Wood Green, the team fosters a supportive, collaborative environment with flexible and hybrid working arrangements. As a small and friendly group, they place real value on open communication, shared learning and collective problem solving, creating a space where everyone can contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and develop their skills.

It's an exciting moment to be part of the borough's transformation, with major developments underway, Haringey preparing to become the London Borough of Culture in 2027 as "the Rebel Borough", and Tottenham set to host UEFA Euro matches in 2028. The role offers the chance to help shape this momentum and play a meaningful part in the borough's evolving story.

About you

The successful candidate will bring proven project management experience, from early scoping through to delivery, along with the confidence to lead project teams and drive forward complex workstreams. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of placemaking are essential, as is a track record of building partnerships and engaging communities to deliver projects that enhance pride in local places. You'll be comfortable working within multi disciplinary teams, commissioning and managing consultants and external partners, and contributing positively to a collaborative, fast paced environment. A proactive mindset, problem solving ability and commitment to producing high quality work are key, as you'll regularly liaise with senior managers, elected members and a wide range of stakeholders. Ideally, you will also hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as planning, architecture, urban design or development.
