Job Description
Service Engineer - YORK Chiller Technician (Cork)

We are looking for a Cork based, qualified Service Engineer to join our growing team of specialised YORK Chiller technicians, commissioning and maintaining YORK chiller equipment and supporting customers' facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide up to date site surveys, records, and reports regarding works completed and actions needed to assist in quoting new or replacement equipment.
  • Commission, service, troubleshoot and maintain industrial water /air cooled chillers and heat pumps.
  • Act as the primary contact for all technical service issues, accountable for resolving highly complex systems within defined timeframes and according to service agreements.
  • Work primarily with the company's largest customers in the Cork area, predominantly in pharmaceutical, life science and high tech sectors.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and comply with the Zero Harm policy.
  • Operate largely independently with limited supervision while contributing to team success.
Qualifications
  • Refrigeration F GAS 2079 certificate.
  • Ammonia experience is an advantage.
  • Relevant trade qualification in refrigeration, or a qualified industrial electrician willing to cross train on YORK chillers and heat pumps.
  • Safe Pass Card and Manual Handling certificate.
  • Minimum NFQ 5 qualification.
  • Experience with large ton centrifugal and screw chillers and heat pumps (factory training supplied).
  • Familiarity with major chiller manufacturers such as York, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier and Daikin.
  • Capacity to work without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.
  • Full Clean Irish driving licence.

Working Hours

39 hour week: Monday Thursday (8:00am 4:30pm) & Friday (8:00am 3:30pm).
