The gynecology service of HUG is one of the largest services, counting numerous specialties, notably in oncology, perineology, and reproductive medicine. The service also provides specialized care around ovarian and female genital issues and takes care of women who are victims of aggression and violence or during an interruption of pregnancy. Medical and care teams support women, young girls, and adolescents throughout their reproductive lives, during and after menopause, with maximum safety and respect for privacy and values. To ensure the best women's health care, it relies on a high-performing gynecological-obstetrical emergency unit, cutting-edge equipment, interdisciplinary care, and direct access for patients.The surgical oncology-gynecology unit of the HUG gynecology service has cutting-edge expertise in the management of women suffering from gynecological cancer. From the moment the diagnosis is made, the team of the HUG oncology-gynecology unit establishes a personalized care pathway tailored to each patient. The unit is looking for a reference nurse or a reference male nurse to complete its staff. The person will have the overall mission of providing personalized support to patients and their families in the context of pelvic gynecological cancer and addressing the specific needs expressed, from the moment of diagnosis announcement and throughout the entire care period. Requests may arise in emotional, physical aspects as well as in the need for and care of patients. The nurse guides the patient through the care system, coordinates their care, and ensures continuity of support. They are a resource for interdisciplinary teams and promote care quality in their area of expertise. They contribute to clinical and research projects by facilitating the establishment of protocols and aiming for the development of care quality in the field of oncology. In addition to your ability to manage unforeseen events, your capacity and sense of autonomy will enable you to provide personalized and comprehensive nursing care to our patients presenting various levels of complexity. You possess a strong team spirit that allows you to work closely with your counterparts and the team. You hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalent recognized title from the Red Cross. A CAS in oncology is required to practice your profession in the canton of Geneva. For more information, please check the Geneva website. You have at least 7 years of professional experience in a nursing position in oncology. You have skills and knowledge in nursing care techniques.
