Recovery Driver

Responsibilities of a Recovery Driver will include:
  • Complete all Job Pack paperwork neatly and legibly and obtain signatures where required.
  • Ensure Customer Vehicle Condition Report is complete in addition to any images taken before passing to Estimators.
  • Comply with the Drivers Tacho Break Regulation 2009 (if applicable).
  • Policy Excess, VAT Bills and Private Quotes - ensure payment has been taken before leaving site - if payment has not been paid, query with the Transport Manager.
  • Ensure courtesy cars are up to standard and safe for customer use. Report any defects or damage to Transport Manager immediately.
  • Ensure you follow the correct procedure when dealing with customer complaints.
  • Move cars in/ out of the workshop at the start or end of the day.
  • Wash customer or courtesy cars where necessary.
Skills and experience required as a Recovery Driver:
  • Must be over 21 and have a full UK driving licence.
  • Driver Qualification Card.
  • C1E or CE licence categories.
  • Must be capable of driving various vehicles within the licence categories you hold.
  • Requires regular physical activity, including the movement and securing of vehicles, as well as lifting equipment.
  • Digi Driver Card.
  • Experience in vehicle recovery is preferable.
  • Team Player who uses initiative, is flexible and has a can do attitude.
  • Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions.
