Job OverviewWe are looking to recruit Receptionists within the Radiology and Cardiorespiratory team at Southport and Ormskirk District General Hospital. The post holder will be flexible and rotate across both sites, performing reception duties, registration, appointment booking, general reception and administrative tasks.
Main Duties- Provide clerical support to the Radiology & Cardiorespiratory Department at both Southport and Ormskirk sites.
- Register patients and book appointments via the CRIS & Careflow Patient Administration Systems.
- Perform general reception duties and data input, record management.
- Assist in day to day running of reception and support departmental needs.
- Deal pleasantly with clients, members of the public and staff.
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent experience in Maths and English.
- Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office Software Packages (ECDL or TLM equivalent).
- Experience of dealing with the public, face to face and telephone.
- Previous receptionist or administrative experience.
- Experience of working in the NHS or similar health care setting.
- Typing and keyboard skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with service users courteously.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Act on own initiative, knowing role limitations.
- Flexibility, reliability, punctuality.
- Work sensitively, confidentially and non judgementally.
