Lucy Legal LLP is a forward-thinking legal practice with a genuine commitment to excellence in client service and operational integrity. We work across a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters, supporting our fee-earning teams with the infrastructure and support systems that allow them to deliver exceptional legal outcomes. This is a firm that values its people, invests in professional development, and recognises that great legal practice is built on strong foundations-which is exactly where you come in.
We're seeking a Receptionist to join our Business Support team at our Shere office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on organisation, clarity of communication, and genuine problem-solving. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients, visitors, and internal teams, which means you'll set the tone for how Lucy Legal LLP is perceived by the outside world. You'll also be a key operational lynchpin, ensuring that information flows smoothly between departments and that our office runs like clockwork. If you take pride in creating an efficient, welcoming environment and enjoy the variety that comes with supporting a busy legal practice, this role will genuinely satisfy you.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will span both client-facing and back-office functions. You'll manage our reception desk, handling calls, emails, and visitor arrivals with professionalism and warmth. Beyond the front desk, you'll support our administrative infrastructure by maintaining office systems, coordinating diaries, managing correspondence, and liaising with external suppliers and service providers. You'll also be expected to support our Human Resources and Finance functions with clerical tasks-this might include processing timesheets, maintaining staff records, or assisting with invoicing and expense queries. The role demands excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing sensitive information and ensuring compliance with our data protection obligations. You'll also be expected to pitch in with ad hoc projects that emerge as the practice grows, from office refurbishment coordination to updating internal procedures.
We are committed to helping our support staff progress within the firm. Many of our Business Support team members have moved into more specialised roles- such as Finance Administration, Human Resources, or Legal Operations and we actively encourage team members to develop new skills and take on greater responsibility. We'll support you with training and mentorship, and there's genuine scope to carve out a career with us if you choose to.
