Job Description

We offer a very highstandard of family medicine to our 14,000 patients. We have 5 GPPartners, 3 Salaried GP's and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners. We have a robust nursing team and extremely supportive reception / administrationteam.

Main duties of the job

Thenormal duties will consist of:

Meeting and greeting and liaising with patients

Issuing prescriptions

Dealing with administrative queries over the telephone and in person

Signposting patients to the appropriate service(s)

Generaluse of clinical system - SystmOne

Any other administrative duties as required

About us

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic receptionist to join our existing team. It is busy on a day to day basis but the work is rewarding.

We have a main branch in the city centre and a branch surgery in Bessacarr.

Job responsibilities

The normal duties will consist of:

General use of clinical system - SystmOne

Issuing prescriptions

Any other administrative duties as required

Todeal with patients on the telephone in a timely, polite and helpful manner

The working pattern is as follows:

Mon 14:30 -18:30

Tue 14:30 -18:30

Fri 10:30 -18:30

Total of 16 hours per week. Please note the above hours are non-negotiable.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
Experience
  • Polite manner
  • Enjoys working with the public
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Team player
  • Flexibility
  • Experience of working in a GP Practice.
