Do you enjoy talking to people andhelping them out? We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and well-organised peopleto support our patients in their healthcare needs. You will provide administrative and telephoneservices to our patients, ensuring tasks are undertaken effectively and accurately.
The successful candidates will feelconfident in working within a team and be committed to assisting our clinicalstaff to deliver excellent patient experience.
Applicants must have previousadministration experience and be fully confident and competent in all aspectsof computer-based and telephone work. The ability to work with a wide range ofpeople with a calm, efficient telephone manner is essential, as well asexcellent organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbaland written are essential. You should be able to use your own initiative, beteam orientated with a flexible approach to work.
You will be based at Drovers House in Bury St Edmunds, working Monday-Wednesday, 12.00pm - 5.30pm. On occasion you will be required totravel to attend meetings or cover absences at our other bases.
Main duties of the job- Welcome patients warmly upon arrival and check them in for their appointments.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding services, scheduling, and general clinic information.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Manage phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with the estates team on building-related matters, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
- Support the team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Auto-enrolmentpension (as per criteria) with Scottish Widows.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT)/European Computer Driving Licence (EDCL) or equivalent
- Working within a team
- Working with members of the public
- Working within an office environment
- Data inputting and electronic information management
- Working in a health or social care setting
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality
- Ability to work without direct supervision on delegated tasks
- Ability to prioritise own workload
