Ramsdens are an award winning, Legal 500 recommended firm in West & North Yorkshire. With twelve offices and we offer the full spectrum of legal services to individuals and organisations. We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist/ General Administrator to assist our busy Halifax office.
This position is to be offered on a job share basis 2.5 day split a week to be worked Wednesday afternoon 1pm - 5pm, Thursday & Friday 9am - 5pm.
The successful candidate will be confident, have a positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to get the job done. You will be working on a range of matters, possess excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships at all levels, both internal and external.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- First point of contact to welcome clients.
- At all times exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
- To prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing.
- Administration of client files, which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of files in accordance with the detailed procedures.
- To keep filing up to date and ensure that files are tidy and lexcel compliant.
- To prepare mail and enclosures dispatch.
- Dealing with general telephone enquiries
- To keep dictation up to date within agreed timescales and advise when outside of timescale.
- Ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all the firm's and client documentation and information
