Reception Security Assistant

We are looking for a calm, confident and compassionate Reception Security Assistant at Mill View Hospital. This is a key front-line role, helping us maintain a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for patients, visitors and staff.
We are looking for someone who is confident working in a mental health environment and able to communicate clearly and calmly, even in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and professionalism when managing challenging circumstances, work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and show reliability, strong observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive service.
Main duties of the job- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors
- Monitor and control access to the hospital to ensure safety
- Support incident response and liaise with clinical teams
- Manage visitor sign-in processes and ID checks
- Key and Alarm management
- Perform daily and weekly routine security checks
- Manage incoming calls, post and parcels
- Perform administrative tasks relevant to the role
- Maintain a visible presence to reassure patients and staff
- Follow security procedures and elevate concerns appropriately

Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS- NVQ3 or equivalent experience
- Administrative and organisational experience
- Knowledge of CCTV operation
- Previous experience in a similar role
