Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 per week
Responsibilities- Lead the reception team on a day to day operational basis, ensuring services are delivered in a coordinated and efficient manner, in accordance with service specifications and clinical KPIs, and aligned with national, local and organisational priorities to improve access and maximise activity.
- Carry out reception and administrative tasks, including providing a first point of contact for patients and stakeholders (face to face and telephone), and delivering administrative support to the practice.
- Collaborate with other receptionists and healthcare professionals to provide a first class service to patients.
- Support the Practice Manager in running the practice, delegating tasks appropriately and developing efficient management systems.
- Promote the development and maintenance of a qualifying learning environment throughout the practice.
- Deputise for the Practice Manager and act as a member of the surgery team, ensuring effective processing of all administrative work and liaison with the reception and administration team.
- Experience in an NHS or GP practice, with previous use of EMIS, is desirable.
- Reception or customer care experience is essential, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Basic PC proficiency - Word, Excel and email.
- Ability to work within established processes, maintain confidentiality and ensure data security.
- Previous NHS experience is welcome but not essential.
