What does the job entailWarwickshire County Council is looking for a friendly and organised Reception and Administration Assistant to join the team at Hatters Space in Nuneaton on a six-month temporary assignment. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for families and visitors accessing services within the community hub. You'll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative support to ensure the centre runs smoothly.
- Welcoming families and visitors to the centre in a professional and friendly manner.
- Supporting families attending various appointments.
- Assisting with the administration of Stay and Play sessions and community activities.
- Greeting and directing visitors attending appointments with Health Visitors, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals.
- Providing administrative support, including data entry, filing, managing appointments and responding to enquiries.
- Answering telephone calls and emails, providing information and signposting where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to provide an excellent service to the local community.
- Has previous experience in a reception, customer service or administration role.
- Enjoys working with members of the public, particularly children and families.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage a varied workload.
- Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Can work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Has a positive, approachable and professional manner.
