We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated,well-organised and hard-working individuals to provide full reception andadministration support for our practice.
Excellent verbal and written skills are an essentialrequirement, as well as computer literacy, a professional telephone mannerand a flexible approach to work. Knowledge of a GP clinical system,especially EMIS, is advantageous although training will be given.
Main duties of the jobReception duties, Secretarial duties, Attending to the reception desk, Receiving patients, Making appointments, Answering the telephone, Dealing with the daily post, Dealing with practice tasks and contacting patients asrequired, Receiving samples from patients, Filing, Receiving visitors into the surgery, Photocopying medical records for third parties, Registering patients, Scanning hospital and patient letters into patient notes, Ensure all practice protocols are understood and adhered to, Assist with and minimisepotential issues that may lead to complaints

Job responsibilities- To provide a professional and effective reception service to our practice population to ensure complete satisfaction with patients practice experience
- Previous experience of medical reception
- Previous experience of dealing with public/patients both face
- to face and over telephone
- Experience of telephone operation
- Experience of working in a medical reception
- Experience of using a computer
- Experience of using office equipment
- Able to work both independently and as part of an integrated multi-skilled team
- Able to work in highly pressured environment
- Able to communicate verbally effectively and efficiently
- To be a careful listener, diplomatic and tactful
- Able to build effective working relationships and communicate effectively with all staff including Nurses and Partners
