Real Estate Tax - Manager. We help transform clients' real estate into greater assets and provide tax structuring, tax compliance, and tax due diligence advice for real estate funds, institutional investors, REITs, private investors, and the public sector across UK and pan-European markets. We work across real estate sectors including commercial, office, student housing, industrial logistics, retail and hotels. We advise on Stamp Taxes, Capital Gains, Inheritance Tax and related niches. Responsibilities- As a Manager within our Real Estate Tax (RET) team, contribute to a high-performing team with strong tenure within the firm and sector.
- Work with high-profile clients on challenging, multi-jurisdictional real estate and infrastructure transactions (current transactions in the £60m, £250m and £500m ranges; recent deals over £1bn).
- Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.
- Lead from the front in client delivery and engagement with Real Estate and broader Tax teams, with support from Partners and Directors.
- Own your work as part of a team of self-starters and carve a path within the role.
- Collaborate with Partners and Directors to build relationships on key accounts and deliver high-quality tax services.
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent qualification.
- UK corporate tax experience, ideally within the Real Estate sector.
- Experience monitoring junior team members' work and coaching/career development.
- Preferably, experience in the UK Real Estate market.
- Tax structuring - advising on tax-efficient property transactions.
- Collaborating with Partner and Director teams to build relationships on key accounts.
- International tax advice and due diligence on cross-border transactions.
- Participation in business development initiatives and proposal activity.
- Tax compliance - advising on ongoing tax requirements.
- Setting up property funds including UK Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
