Reading Mentor and Lead Librarian

Job Summary

Part time Reading Mentor and Lead Librarian required to support pupils in reading development and manage the school's library.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Lexonik reading intervention sessions to identified pupil groups
• Provide one to one and small group tutoring to improve reading skills
• Design activity based learning materials for reading interventions
• Engage young people in reading and promote a culture of reading within the school
• Work with the Head of English and SENDCO to ensure learning outcomes for students with SEND
• Maintain and develop the school library collection and reading programmes such as Carnegie Shadowing and Peer Reading
• Collaborate with the librarian team to support reading projects
