Collections Care Officer, Tower of London
2-year, fixed-term position, working 21.6 hours per week (3 days out of 7).
The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom's national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
For this exciting opportunity the Royal Armouries is seeking someone with experience and knowledge of collections care, including housekeeping, environmental and pest monitoring. A flexible and pragmatic approach to work, excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are all essential requirements of the role. An interest in the subject of arms and armour is highly desirable.
This position is a fixed-term role, working full time, 21.6 hours per week, 3 days out of 7. Weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will occasionally be required, as will some travel.
Holidays is 22.5 days for 3 days.
Pension is 3% EE & 6% ER.
