Job Description

Are you looking for a tax position in the emerging R&D tax credit sector? A leading firm is looking to hire an R&D tax manager to provide OMB/SME direct tax advisory services to the firm's clients, which include high-growth business clients. The job is primarily R&D tax-oriented, but there'll also be opportunities to work in other tax fields. Based in the southwest, it's a great opportunity for a tax professional to further their career and direct their development in a way that interests them.

Who You Are

You'll be a qualified tax professional that already has some experience working in a tax environment. In the past, you'll have had exposure to various complex tax assignments and will be CTA or ACA/ACCA qualified (or willing to work towards qualification). There'll be further opportunities to add more qualifications to your CV via the firm, too.

The Role

This role will encompass various tax aspects but will primarily deal with R&D tax credits. You'll form part of the tax advisory services team, working with more senior firm members to deliver great results both on time and within budget.

  • Complex corporate tax compliance and the identification and preparation of R&D tax credit claims.
  • Working closely with the R&D lead manager and partner.
  • EMI options, as well as matters relating to EIS/SEIS.
  • Corporate finance transaction tax advisory and due diligence, and corporate demergers/reconstruction.
  • Maintaining and developing the reputation of the firm through first class work and effective problem management.
  • Investigating and managing problems as they arise and liaising with other departments within the firm.
  • Delivering high quality, up to date advice and carefully managing assignments to meet deadlines and budget.
