About the Position

Quotient is seeking an experienced Director, Alliance Management to play a vital role in the company's efforts to support our external alliances. The candidate will be responsible for providing strong leadership, organization, risk identification and expertise to support cross functional teams in executing program deliverables required to meet the goals of the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with team members across Quotient and external partners to rapidly advance programs. They will be comfortable working in and contributing to a highly dynamic and cross functional team environment, with the ability to problem solve complex multi factorial challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality program management to support our portfolio of partnerships
• Work closely with team leads to plan and drive team meetings, information flow and communication, identifying, discussing and mitigating opportunities and risks to program objectives, timelines and budget
• Use a comprehensive understanding of Target Discovery, Target Validation and Drug Discovery to support program teams' key scientific questions, strategy and objectives in optimal cross functional plans, timelines and budgets
• Proactively identify, track, actively help mitigate and appropriately communicate program risks
• Develop acceleration opportunities for various milestones, risk/benefit assessments and risk mitigation plans
• Form strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders at Quotient and within its partners; act as an ambassador and steward of critical relationships
• Ensure all decisions made on the program are assessed for their impact
• Work closely with Finance and project management teams to establish program related budgets and resourcing plans; monitor plans to ensure programs have the required resources and budget
• Ensure efficient and effective communication of program related information to all levels of the organization

• Partner with functional leads to align and empower teams, ensuring clarity of roles, goals and accountability across a matrixed structure
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to internal leadership and external collaborators, contributing to portfolio prioritization, program direction and alliance strategy
• Bring a strategic lens to program planning, helping to shape long term goals, investment decisions and scientific direction in collaboration with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree or higher in a scientific discipline, ideally life sciences; PhD preferred
• 10+ years relevant program or alliance management experience in biotech drug discovery and development, as well as a comprehensive understanding of drug discovery
• PM experience in early research preferred
• Experience managing partnered programs
• Scientific curiosity and passion for discovering new, innovative medicines
• Proven track record in driving successful, collaborative drug discovery teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with time management/tracking, using timeline management programs (Smartsheet, ThinkCell, MS Project, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency and creativity and focus on deliverables
• Team player with a strong work ethic, able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Continuously learns and adapts quickly to new information

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $179,000 - $236,500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
