Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager/Assistant Quarry Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the daily operation of the quarry is run to the highest standards of safety and will play a "hands on" role to ensure the timeliest and cost-effective production of all materials produced on site. The multi skilled role involves operating the processing plant, operating mobile plant to feed the processing plant, planned maintenance and weighbridge distribution, all working as part of a team. Comprehensive training will be provided to maximise individual potential.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to and actively promote CEMEX's H&S Standards
- Review equipment and production conditions at all times.
- Ensure that plant availability is maximised.
- Ensure a quality operation and materials that meet customers' demands.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained within the department.
- Carry out planned maintenance on static processing plant.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of quarry extraction and processing. They will also have experience of working within a similar role/industry, although full training will be provided.
- Ideally have a good understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures associated with quarrying/site operations.
- Training and qualifications for operating Mobile Plant (Preferred: Loading Shovel including experience of feeding processing plant hopper and LGV loading).
- Be an effective team player that can motivate and inspire other individuals to engage and comply with business policies and standards.
