Location: London - Tower Bridge

Salary: up to £70,000 per annum (negotiable)

Responsible to: Contracts Director/Managing Director

Main Purpose of the Job
  • As a Quantity Surveyor & Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in managing cost management and supporting our commercial activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Estimator Function: Prepare and complete tenders and tender documents for subcontractors.
  • Cost Evaluation: Assess subcontractor costs to ensure compliance with tender requirements.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with Project Managers to optimise project costs.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold HSQE policies and procedures for your team.
  • Cost Management: Lead cost management efforts, including valuations, cost control, and payment certification.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with equal opportunities and health and safety policies.
  • Achieve best value in all development aspects.
  • Manage specific project budgets and contract administration.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations and reporting.Prepare specifications and schedules of work to improve project delivery.
  • Act as a professional ambassador for the organisation, establishing strong client relationships.
What You Bring
  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Chartered member of RICS or CIOB or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a construction organisation
  • Strong background in cost management, budget management, and financial reporting
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in preparing tender documentation and specifications
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience working for a small medium sized contractor is ideal!
