Your new role includes

• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all scopes of work.
• Obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare bid packages and final estimates for submission.
• Participate in bid reviews and project handovers.
• Assist project managers with budget development and cost tracking.
• Maintain a database of unit costs and historical pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

Experience you need

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry (commercial, residential, or civil).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Proficient in estimating software.
• Strong math and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel to project sites if needed.
