Job Description
The Quality/Calibration Engineer will provide leadership and be responsible for day-to-day management and implementation of Calibrated Equipment and it's System in line with key Aerospace requirements, fundamentally focusing around EN_9100 and traceability to National & International Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain calibrated equipment across the business, managing both internal and external calibration requirements.
- Maintain QMS requirements in line with ongoing standard expectations (AS9100 and customer flow-down requirements).
- Prepare and organise internal audits, including NCR closure.
- Support customer requirements for annual audit activities.
- Adhere to company health and safety requirements and complete all required training.
- Process supplier and customer returns for non-conforming items.
- Promote performance improvement activities and quality assurance programs throughout the company.
- Identify and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Carry out problem-solving activities within production.
- Identify and investigate trends from internal failure modes.
- Ensure QA activities and priorities are met to achieve on-time delivery (internally and externally).
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a professional and consistent working environment.
- Work flexibly, including potential travel between sites or customer locations, depending on business needs.
- Communicate directly with customer quality representatives when investigating complaints.
- Support and adapt to changes in standards, policies, processes, and products.
- Calibration experience (practical knowledge and understanding).
- Strong understanding of EN 9100 requirements (minimum 3 years' experience).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
