Quality Technician - Castlebar, Co. Mayo

Shift pattern: Day and night shifts

Arcon Recruitment is seeking a Quality Technician for a production/manufacturing company based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

This role will suit someone with previous quality control or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail and a practical understanding of quality processes and standards. Candidates must be available to work a shift pattern covering both days and nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections on materials, products and finished goods.
• Check that products meet agreed specifications and quality standards.
• Complete inspection records and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Identify, record and report defects or non-conforming products.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow established inspection procedures and support consistent quality standards across shifts.
• Support investigations into quality issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Follow health and safety procedures throughout the production environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in quality control, quality inspection or a similar role within production/manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• An understanding of quality inspection processes and standards.
• Good organisational skills and accurate record keeping.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written procedures and product specifications.
• Availability to work both day and night shifts.

Based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, this role may suit candidates commuting from Westport, Newport, Balla, Ballinrobe, Claremorris, Foxford, Swinford and Ballina.
