Job Description

Quality Manager - Galway

DOE: €75k - €85k

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the ongoing development and implementation of the Quality Management System across factory and installation operations. The successful candidate will drive high standards of quality, compliance, consistency, and continual improvement, working closely with operational teams, technical staff, factories, and live project teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, BOPAS, EN1090, and relevant NSAI standards.
  • Promote awareness and compliance with quality management processes across the business.
  • Drive the integration and digital adoption of QA/QC processes.
  • Review SOPs and ensure alignment with ITPs and ITRs.
  • Review and approve quality documentation including Quality Plans, mock-ups, ITPs, and ITRs.
  • Lead internal technical, factory, site, and management system audits.
  • Review Quality in Design and New Product Introduction processes.
  • Set quality objectives, monitor performance, and report on compliance and results.
  • Ensure testing and inspection procedures are understood, implemented, and evaluated.
  • Identify quality training requirements and coach technical staff, Quality Technicians, and Site Managers.
  • Manage corrective actions and support the investigation of product and quality issues.
  • Liaise with customers, auditors, suppliers, and internal teams on quality matters.
  • Support tender and prequalification activities where required.
  • Support the Head of HSSQ with continual improvement and integration of management systems.
Requirements:
  • Level 8 degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management and governance processes.
  • Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Strong experience in quality management within construction, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
  • Ability to coach, lead, and support quality teams.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage programme deliverables.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and quality management systems such as Fieldview,
  • Viewpoint, Dalux, or SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is desirable.
