Quality Lead Berkeley Gardens Specialist Care Home, Ellesmere Road, Pemberton, Wigan. We are looking for someone for a new role as Quality Lead within Berkeley Gardens Specialist Care Home. This role is to drive quality in the home and lead on people achieving their goals within their bespoke care. The home is rated Good with CQC and has a large staff team. The role will be supported by a team including the home manager, clinical lead nurses, staff nurses, support staff and the activity team.
The successful candidate will have a motivation and positive attitude to drive forward outstanding care and strengthen community connections in the home.
Responsibilities- Support the manager with quality in the home and lead on quality initiatives.
- Develop creative thinking and ideas for improvements in the home.
- Support the manager to make the units outstanding.
- Support the management team with home action plans.
- Understand CCQ compliance and standards.
- Audit and compliance within the home.
- Oversee a person-centred environment.
- Maintain a positive, cheerful, person-centred attitude and work with the staff team professionally.
- Ensure excellent compute skills are applied in daily tasks.
- Remain calm and professional at all times.
- Lead on the home's committee work, goals, journeys and achievements.
- Support the management team with documentation.
- Work autonomously while following direction and home action plans.
- Lead on groups, awareness weeks and Zoom activity sessions.
- Promote more community connections in the local area.
- Understand and follow safeguarding processes.
- Collaborate closely with the home manager, company quality lead and the activity team.
- Be supported by the company quality team in joining the other homes within Cuerden Care together.
- Lead on innovation, team motivation and staff development while delivering the role in a 35-hour per week schedule (including some weekend work).
- Adhere to UK employment requirements; note we do not recruit from outside the United Kingdom and only applicants with permission to work in the UK will be considered.
- Clear ability to drive quality improvements in a care home setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; professional and positive approach.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a management team.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Willingness to work 35 hours per week, including some weekend work.
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided).
