This post offers a unique opportunity to work within an immigration removal centre.
The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary team providing primary care with a specialized setting.
We seek a qualified, experienced nurse or paramedic to work within an integrated healthcare model. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, working closely with residents, the healthcare team, and the immigration service to ensure comprehensive care.
The candidate will serve as the Quality Lead at the immigration removal centre, driving quality improvements within the team.
Yarl's Wood IRC has a capacity of 476 residents, including a majority of male residents, a small unit for male short-term holds, and a unit for up to 58 female residents.
Previous experience in an immigration removal centre is desirable but not essential. The role includes an extensive supernumerary period, full training, and opportunities for skill development.

Experience within the secure estate is advantageous.

You will work closely with NHFT's quality team to deliver services at Yarl's Wood IRC.
Yarl's Wood IRC has a capacity of 476 residents, primarily male, with dedicated units for short-term and female residents.

Person Specification Qualifications- Registered General Nurse Degree or working towards it
- Experience at Band 6 level, with skills in quality improvement and managing change
- Strong communication, negotiation, clinical, facilitation, and staff development skills
- Ongoing professional development
- Experience with audits and developing actions
This post requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
Depending on experience, salary is negotiable.
