Quality Inspector (Lates)Location: AlcesterSalary: £35,000 per annumJob Type: Full-time / PermanentOverviewWe are looking for an experienced Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a precision engineering environment. The role will involve CMM and manual inspection, ensuring components meet quality, engineering, and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities

• First-off, in-process, final, and receipt inspection
• CMM inspection including running and maintaining programmes
• Manual inspection of precision components
• Completion of FAIRs using CMM and manual methods
• Supporting NPI and liaising closely with Engineering
• Raising and managing non-conformances
• Accurate recording of inspection results within MRP systems
• Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S

Quality Inspection & Measuring Tools

• Confident using manual measuring equipment including:
  • Vernier callipers
  • Micrometers (internal, external, depth)
  • Height gauges
  • Bore gauges
  • Thread gauges (GO/NO-GO)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans
• Experience inspecting to tight tolerances and quality standards

Skills & Experience

• Background in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering
• Experience with CMM and manual inspection methods
• Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
