About the RoleWe are looking for the right candidate to join our Quality Department as a Quality Inspector. Reporting to the Team Leader you will be responsible for inspecting and testing of products to specifications prior to final dispatch to the customer. Any issues or non-conformance to standards / specifications would be escalated to the Senior Quality Engineer for review and resolution.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of your key responsibilities, you'll:
- Complete quality and functional testing on Rail and Traffic products prior to despatch
- Test products in accordance to established quality procedures
- Complete Goods In quality inspections on supplied products ensuring compliance to drawings and specifications
- Accurately record all Quality Control test results
- Actively participate in the department supporting continual improvement
- Liaison with operational team members, warehouse and Production Team Leaders ensuring that appropriate inspection and testing is undertaken and technical documentation is controlled.

- Can read and interpret technical drawings
- High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good level of computer literacy
- Competent in using measuring and test equipment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- An HNC in Mechanical /Electrical / QA Engineering would be highly desirable
