Our manufacturing Client is seeking a Quality Inspector,ideally withelectronics manufacturing knowledge/experience. The role is offered as a permanent, full time position reporting to the Quality Manager.
Salary: £26,788.88 pa + OT when required - weekly pay
Location: near Dartford
Hours: 39 pw
9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm Friday
Benefits: 25 days leave + BH, uniform, pension etc
The Quality Inspector role will be responsible for inspecting key component groups before product is released from the production area; ensuring feedback for all non-conforming product is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.
Quality Inspector Skills/experience required:
- Experience within electronic manufacturing environment preferred - PCBs
- Understanding of IPC-A-610 or qualification preferred.
- Able to identify components including resistor colour codes.
- General standard of education required.
Quality Inspector MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To perform full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release from the area.
- To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
- To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
- To be competent in the use of Inspection tools (magnifiers etc) for PCB manufacturing.
- To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.
- To understand IPC 610 standards with regard to conventional assembly.
- To highlight any build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision.
- To ensure section area is clean, tidy and safe for all staff at all times.
- To carry out First Offs against Product Bill Of Materials and customer specifications.
