Your roleIn the role of Quality Engineering Lead you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the performance of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define performance SLA and benchmarks, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios and collaborate with industry talent to create innovative, high-quality, defect-free solutions that meet clients' business needs. RequiredTechnology:
- Must possess hands-on performance testing experience using tools like VSTS, JMeter, Neo Load, K6, etc. (8+ years preferred).
- Candidate should have C#, VBScript programming skills to create detailed effective test scripts to evaluate performance.
- Comprehensive understanding of application layers and how each layer impacts performance.
- Adequate understanding of APIs and microservices; ability to test at the API layer.
- Knowledge of monitoring resources to evaluate performance.
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders to define performance SLA and benchmark requirements.
- Experience examining performance test results to identify bottlenecks.
- Experience in performance and API testing of Energy trading applications for upstream areas.
- Ability to use code repositories such as GIT, ADO and TFS; checkout, modify and commit code.
- Ability to build and deploy code to test environments using Maven, Jenkins or ADO.
- Good expertise in Jenkins/ADO & Git branching strategy; ability to create CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience maintaining test scripts on Azure DevOps or TFS of any test management tool.
- Awareness of application monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, PerfMon, top, vmstat and iostat.
- Hands-on experience with functional automation tools like Selenium or Playwright is an added advantage.
- Understanding of different types of applications (web-based, thick client, products).
- Clear understanding of databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL and data models.
Critical Thinking and Communication:
- Ability to analyze scenarios and define a performance test approach.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts of interest within the team.
- Ability to communicate with customers, including product owners, to gather requirements.
- Experience as a performance testing expert in Energy Trading and risk management applications.
- Experience in performance testing and API testing of Energy trading applications for upstream areas.
- 8+ years of hands-on performance testing experience using tools such as VSTS, JMeter, Grafana, Splunk.
- Ability to analyze and develop performance strategies to meet customer needs.
- Ability to adapt in evolving projects and work with a team focused on next-generation testing technologies.
