Quality Control Laboratory Technician

£15.00 per hour Monday to Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm Full Training Provided

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join a busy quality team, supporting laboratory testing, quality reporting and administrative activities. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with quality, manufacturing, food production, laboratory or administrative experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Accurately record, analyse and report test results.
• Identify and escalate any quality issues or deviations from specification.
• Coordinate sample submissions to external laboratories.
• Prepare and distribute Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and quality documentation.
• Conduct routine quality checks, equipment calibration and verification.
• Maintain laboratory records and testing schedules.
• Compile and present laboratory data using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure samples are stored and managed in line with company procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the Quality Manager.
• Assist with continuous improvement and quality assurance activities.

What We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and follow documented procedures.
• Previous experience within quality control, manufacturing, food production, laboratory environments or administration is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
