Quality Control Inspector

What you'll do:The Quality Controller role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace product, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components and Composites.Your main responsibilities:Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace productIn Process InspectionFirst Article InspectionWork on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company proceduresUndertake investigation of quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal or external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customersMaintenance of Quality Records and MetricsSupport shop floor with Technical issues if requiredAuditing of Approved OperatorsSupport training of others in products and processes for your areaBecause of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade.Experience Required:Use of Measuring EquipmentAble to interpret Engineering DrawingsPrevious experience required although training can be providedExperience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageousAerospace knowledge advantageousExperience of FAIRs to AS 9102IT SkillsRoot Cause Tools - 5 why's / 8DQualifications:Skills:Qualifications required:City & GuildsGCSE's or equivalent in Maths and ScienceApprentice trained in a relevant discipline advantageous
