Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of quality and safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Trust's strategic goals. You'll manage complex programmes, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive progress through expert negotiation and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage strategic projects under the Chief Nurse's direction
  • Coordinate work streams and ensure programme coherence
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain project momentum
  • Develop performance indicators and monitor delivery
  • Produce business cases and manage project budgets
  • Support change management and benefits realisation
  • Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership
Required Skills and Experience
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Project management training or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale projects using recognised methodologies (e.g. Prince2)
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and facilitation skills
  • Experience in change management, risk assessment, and performance tracking
  • Advanced ICT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project tools)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt during change
  • Understanding of information governance and professional accountability
  • Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent certification
  • Experience producing policies and working across multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of business case methodology and budgeting
  • Experience in NHS or healthcare project environments
