Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this post is to work with QPS directorate colleagues, clinical directorates and other key staff to support the QPS functions of incident and risk management within CHI, ensuring timely reporting and management of incidents in accordance with the HSE Incident Management Framework, effective risk management processes, fulfilling governance and reporting requirements and supporting the delivery of CHI's quality and patient safety programme.

Essential Criteria

• A third level qualification (minimum Level 8 on QQI framework) in healthcare, quality, patient safety or related field
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Good working knowledge of incident and risk management processes, open disclosure, audit, standards and quality improvement within the Irish healthcare setting
• Excellent ICT skills
