QHSE Technologist

Stem Recruitment are looking for a QHSE Technologist to work for a Global packaging company in Midlothian. This dual health, safety and quality position requires an energetic, self-motivated person to take ownership of the company's health and safety management system and provide active input to improving product quality standards. Responsibilities Strive for continual improvement in the company's quality, health and safety performance Conduct risk assessments of all company activities and ensure appropriate safe guards and controls are implemented to minimise risks Organise quarterly health and safety committee meetings, maintain minutes and monitor actions Record accident and near miss incidents; conduct investigations and report health and safety statistics Requirements IOSH or NEBOSH general certificate desirable Internal Auditor Training desirable Coordinating health and safety activities (within a manufacturing plant is desirable) Maintaining compliance of a quality and hygiene management system HACCPS / Food Safety desirable
