Deepsea Atlantic is recruiting an experienced QHSE Advisor based in Aberdeen, Scotland to support our onshore operations team for the duration of the Rosebank UK project, estimated for 12-18 months. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of UK offshore regulatory framework, including HSE requirements, Safety Case regime and RIDDOR and OPRED reporting, is required.

Due to the urgent requirement for this position, candidates will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. If you are looking for a new challenge and have previous MODU experience, this could be the position for you.

Qualification Requirements
  • Higher education (MSc, BSc or equivalent) and documented solid experience within quality management, health, safety and environment work on MODUs, as well as improvement processes. Long relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Knowledge/experience of statutory requirements associated with MODUs' flag and area of operation.
  • Competence and experience within follow-up on working environment.
  • Experience of the use of IT tools/database systems.
  • COSH HAwareness and assessor training.
  • NEBOSH + Minimum Offshore Certification requirements for UK.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Quality, Health, Environment and Safety work according to action plans, customer and regulatory authority requirements and initiate improvements.
  • Cooperate closely with Rig Manager for the respective unit, onshore organization and the company's QHSE department as well as safety function on board.
  • Follow-up working environment activities in cooperation with offshore Nurse/Medic.
  • Follow-up supervisions, audits and action plans.
  • Follow-up handling of incidents and non-conformities.
  • Support in conducting and facilitating emergency preparedness analyses.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and verify that corrective steps are completed.
  • Perform monthly reporting in accordance with requirements and within due date.
  • Support in development and update of procedures.
  • Travel offshore for follow up as needed.
  • Perform audits and investigations.
  • Assist in tender work.
  • Incident follow up, including support in regards to authority notifications and experience transfer.
  • GAP analysis towards regulations and customer requirements.
  • Support in ensuring compliance of Competence Management system for offshore personnel, according to requirement through regularly monitoring, status overview and proposals of improvement/revisions.
  • Keep operational management updated about things within the area of responsibility, including compiling reports and statistics.
  • Assist with profiling of the company's QHSE work with customers/external parties.
  • Facilitate risk analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie, etc.), Change & Constructions reviews and Chemical risk assessments (health and environmental).
  • Follow-up of regulatory requirements from flag state and area of operation, ensure proper update of AoC/Safety case in accordance with internal procedures and statutory requirements.
