Job Description
- Work as part of the Quality team across manufacturing and packaging processes at Amcor Market Rasen
- Ensure confidence that Work in Progress and Finished Goods quality is high
- Inspect raw materials for consistency and integrity
- Conduct start-up inspections and line clearance checks
- Review Work Orders and In-process (DPR) documents and raise non-conformances
- Check products for process defects and raise non-conformances
- Support rework documentation and supervise product rework
- Place stock on hold in SAGE when required
- Conduct positive release processes
- Support and investigate held warehouse stock
- Support CAPAs and complete documentation through closeout
- Check stratified samples
- Set up and inspect quality control systems, including vision systems and leak testers
- Support production fault checks
- Conduct or support GMP and factory-based audits
- Raise GMP non-conformances with the Quality Manager
- Support the Technical Department with time trials
- Raise and document destruction orders
- Represent the company during customer and regulatory audits
- Conduct measurements on critical Work Orders in the QA technician's absence
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Quality Manager
- Maintain safe working practices in accordance with company Health and Safety policies
- GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade 4/C) or equivalent qualification
- Experience of working in Manufacturing
- Good computer literacy skills including Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working under pressure, remaining calm and in control
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous involvement in decision making within manufacturing
- Previous experience of working in Quality Assurance or Quality Control (desirable)
- Previous experience of manufacturing plastic packaging (desirable)
- Use of Sage (desirable)
- Use of measuring equipment, vision systems and leak testers (desirable)
- Proactive approach to preventing problems from occurring (desirable)
- Ability to adhere to company Health and Safety policies
Demonstrates expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, including conducting inspections, managing non-conformances, and supporting GMP audits. Proficient in using quality control systems and tools, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards in manufacturing and packaging environments.
